Patra Ko appointed to privacy advisory body

*

Patra Ko has been named Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee member, effective June 1, succeeding Wudy Heung who resigned in April.

 

The appointment notice is gazetted today. Miss Ko's term of office will expire September 30, 2005.

 

The Advisory Committee is chaired by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Raymond Tang. It is established under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

 

Including Miss Ko, the committee will consist of eight members. Based on their knowledge and experience in their respective fields, the members will advise the Privacy Commissioner on any matter relevant to the privacy of individuals in relation to personal data and other matters relevant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
