24 more election nominations received

Returning Officers in 12 districts received 24 nominations today, the fourth day of the nomination period for the 2003 District Council Election.

 

No nominations were received in six districts.

 

This brings to 529 the total number of nominees since the two-week nomination period started on October 2.

 

Personal particulars of all nominees including their constituency, name, sex, occupation and political affiliation will be available later at the 2003 District Council Election website.

 

A total of 400 District Council members for the 18 District Councils, one for each constituency, will be elected on November 23.
