January forums set on civil service pay
*

Three forums have been organised for early January to garner feedback on the 2003 pay adjustment for Government staff.

In a letter issued today to all civil servants on the 2003 pay adjustment, Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong said staff representatives of the departmental consultative committees on the pay issue will attend the forums.

Mr Wong called on those attending to speak out, assuring that the Government would carefully consider the interests of both civil servants and the community before making a final decision.

Mr Wong's letter can be viewed in full on the Civil Service Bureau website.
