Light housing contracts awarded
The Housing Bureau announced today that it has awarded two operation and management contracts for Light Public Housing (LPH) projects at tender sums of about $200.6 million and $159.7 million respectively.
The contracts, both awarded to Creative Property Services Consultants Limited and Pok Oi Hospital Joint Venture, cover the LPH projects at Olympic Avenue, Kai Tak Phase 2A and Phase 2B.
The projects will provide a total of about 7,750 units, with 4,500 units for Phase 2A, and 3,250 units for Phase 2B. They are expected for completion and tenant intake in the third quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, the Phase 1 project started taking in tenants in December last year. Its 3,000 units are expected to be fully occupied in the coming one to two weeks.
Commenting on the award of the two new contracts, Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho said: “With the synergy of the two highly experienced organisations, sharing of resources can be achieved in the overall operation and management, thereby enhancing cost-effectiveness.
“I expect that the two operators responsible for the LPH at Olympic Avenue, Kai Tak, will deepen collaboration, foster mutual benefits, and work whole-heartedly to build a caring and inclusive community, so that both our residents and the neighbourhood can benefit from the high-quality property management and targeted social services.”
