The Immigration Department announced today that the e-Channel service will be extended to foreign domestic helpers, non-local students and imported workers with effect from tomorrow.

Such categories of Hong Kong residents aged 11 or above holding smart identity cards may use the service by downloading the department’s Contactless e-Channels mobile app free of charge for enrolment using a smart phone with biometric authentication technology.
