The Administration Wing today alerted the public to fraudulent emails on the honours and awards presentation ceremony purporting to be sent by the HK Protocol Secretariat or HK Protocol Secretariat Division.

The false emails sent under the accounts "pdshk@express.com" or "pdshk@espncricinfo.com" included a suspicious link inviting recipients to download a document. 

The Administration Wing's Protocol Division clarified that it has not sent the emails. A report has been made to Police. 

It also reminded the public that the Administration Wing’s email addresses are under the domain name of "@cso.gov.hk" and award recipients will not be requested to click any links in the email correspondence.

People are advised to stay vigilant and not open any suspicious emails. Anyone who has clicked the link in the emails should contact Police.
