Subsidised flats to go on sale
The Housing Authority today announced that a total of 9,154 new Home Ownership Scheme flats will be put up for sale under the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme Flats 2023 (HOS 2023).
They cover six new developments in Siu Tsui Court in Tuen Mun, On Ying Court, On Wah Court and On Lai Court in Kwun Tong, Kai Yuet Court in Kai Tak and Long Tin Court in Yuen Long.
The average selling prices of the new flats are set at a 38% discount from the assessed market values or 62% of assessed market values.
The selling prices of the flats at the six new developments range from $1.49 million to $4.94 million, averaging at about $2.85 million.
The authority expects to invite applications for HOS 2023 in the middle of this year, with balloting in the fourth quarter and flat selection starting in the first quarter of 2024.
Additionally, the authority endorsed tightening the eligibility criteria for Green Form (GF) applicants for purchase of subsidised sale flats (SSFs).
Public rental housing (PRH) tenants or Housing Society Rental Estate tenants applying to purchase SSFs as GF applicants, should not have owned domestic properties in Hong Kong during the period from 24 months preceding the closing date for submitting the application up to the purchase time, meaning that such applicants would be subject to the same restrictions on domestic property ownership in the city applicable to White Form applicants.
The revised eligibility criteria will be implemented from the HOS 2023 application commencement date onwards.
