Bay area promotion centre opens

A plaque unveiling ceremony was held for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Development Promotion Centre of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO) today.
Acting Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Benjamin Mok said at the ceremony that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government attaches great importance to the development of the GBA and will strengthen ties with other bay area cities to promote high-level co-operation and development.
GDETO Director Linda So supplemented that the promotion centre will strengthen co-operation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, InvestHK and relevant organisations in the Mainland and overseas to provide GBA services.
The centre will organise exhibitions, seminars and study missions to fully support Hong Kong people and enterprises in the Mainland cities of the GBA as well as encourage Mainland talent and enterprises to make use of Hong Kong’s unique advantages under “one country, two systems” and come to Hong Kong to explore more opportunities for development, she added.
