Govt to align jab requirements

December 31, 2022

The Government aims to align the vaccination requirements for international travellers with those of inbound travellers from the Mainland.

Secretary for Health Prof Lo Chung-mau made the remarks after attending a radio programme this morning.

He said: “Regarding the vaccination requirements for inbound passengers, our principle is to align international travellers' requirements with (those of) inbound travellers coming from the Mainland. We will be monitoring the situation and considering how we can adjust the vaccination requirements for these inbound passengers.

“We agree that there is a discrepancy in this requirement for inbound travellers coming from overseas as compared to Mainland (travellers). We will be adjusting this and our principle is to align this to make sure that the requirements for both sides are the same.”

Prof Lo added that the Government will announce when it has made a decision on the relevant adjustments.
