Election wrap-up:

Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman David Lok (right) meets with the media at the conclusion of the 2022 Legislative Council Election Committee constituency by-election. 

A total of 1,307 Election Committee members voted in the 2022 Legislative Council Election Committee constituency by-election today, representing a turnout rate of 90.7%.

 

The four elected members are William Wong, Chan Wing-kwong, Adrian Pedro Ho and Shang Hailong.

 

The Government will hold the oath-taking ceremony for the four elected members at the Chamber of the LegCo Complex at 10am on December 19. The oath-taking will be administered by Chief Executive John Lee.

 

Upon the by-election's conclusion, Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman David Lok said that overall, the polling and counting processes went very smoothly. He added that it was conducted in an open, fair and honest manner, and the commission is satisfied with the arrangements.

 

The commission will conduct a detailed review of various arrangements for the by-election and a report will be submitted to the Chief Executive within three months as prescribed by the law.
