The content of the National Security Law (NSL) online virtual exhibition has been updated today with new mini games and extracts of a picture book on national security education, the Security Bureau said.

The updates are to mark the second anniversary of the NSL’s implementation.

Launched in July 2021 to enhance public understanding of the NSL’s legislative background, importance and significance, the dedicated online virtual show has recorded 270,000 visits so far.

It uses the Museum of Art’s The Lab gallery as its virtual background and comprises six zones covering the NSL’s importance, the legal regime, enforcement mechanisms, major provisions and effectiveness, plus an explanation of the disciplined forces’ work in safeguarding national security.

Mini games are also provided for visitors to assess their understanding of the NSL.

The updated virtual show provides not only more comprehensive exhibition content, but also new mini games for young people to test their understanding of the NSL through lively and interesting means.

Youngsters may also view extracts of the national security education picture book Our Country Our Security to enhance their understanding of the holistic view of national security, as well as the NSL in an easily comprehensible and interesting way.

Winning entries of the slogan and poster design competition under the 2022 Let’s Join Hands in Safeguarding National Security Programme, an initiative by the Security and Education bureaus, will also be showcased in due course.
