President Xi Jinping met Chief Executive John Lee and members of the executive, the legislature and the judiciary after attending the inaugural ceremony of the sixth-term Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today.

President Xi swore in the Chief Executive and principal officials during the ceremony.

After the event, he met the officials, permanent secretaries of the new-term Government, as well as members of the executive, the legislature and the judiciary.

They included Chief Justice Andrew Cheung, Legislative Council President Andrew Leung and Executive Council Non-official Members Convenor Regina Ip.

President Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan concluded their visit to Hong Kong at around noon.

The Chief Executive and his wife Janet Lee saw them off at the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link's West Kowloon Station.
