9 virus cases in restricted areas

Government staff distribute anti-epidemic proprietary Chinese medicine supplied by the central government to residents subject to compulsory testing in the Fanling restricted area.

The Government today announced that nine COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Tsz Wan Shan, Fanling and Sheung Shui.

 

It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Ching Tak House of Tsz Ching Estate in Tsz Wan Shan, Tower 1 of Wing Fok Centre in Fanling and Ching Yun House of Ching Ho Estate in Sheung Shui.

 

At Ching Tak House, 1,070 people underwent testing and five of them tested positive for the virus.

 

Three positive and two indeterminate cases were found in Tower 1 of Wing Fok Centre where around 600 people were tested. 

 

As for Ching Yun House where 1,735 people took a virus test, one preliminary positive case was detected, while six cases were indeterminate.

 

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
