CE visits jab centre

March 29, 2022

Chief Executive Carrie Lam today visited the Caroline Hill Road pop-up community vaccination centre which provides people aged 12 or above with the BioNTech vaccination service.

She spoke to the centre's healthcare workers and staff, noting that various stakeholders had played their roles as part of Hong Kong's anti-epidemic team to strive to boost the city's vaccination rate.

Mrs Lam said that from the fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong, it is clearly shown that vaccination is highly efficacious in preventing or reducing hospitalisation and the chance of developing severe complications after infection.

She appealed to those who still have yet to be vaccinated to act now and reminded vaccinated citizens to receive the second and third doses in a timely manner to build a stronger protective shield for Hong Kong.
