211 cases found in restricted areas
The Government today announced that 211 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Sha Tin and Tung Chung.
It extended the restriction-testing declaration period for Pok Tat House of Pok Hong Estate in Sha Tin to today, requiring people in the restricted area to undergo two virus tests.
Around 3,620 tests were conducted in the operation, of which 116 preliminary positive cases and four indeterminate cases were detected.
Separately, the Government made a restriction-testing declaration last night to cover Ying Yat House of Yat Tung (1) Estate in Tung Chung, where about 1,210 people were tested.
A total of 95 preliminary positive cases and eight indeterminate cases were identified in the building.
The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
