The Joint Office for investigation of reports on water seepage in buildings today clarified that Lee's Construction Engineering Company Limited is not an outsourced consultant and reminded members of the public to stay vigilant.

Set up by the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department and the Buildings Department, the joint office recently received public enquiries as to whether they had issued letters informing them that an outsourced consultant named Lee's Construction Engineering had been appointed to carry out an investigation at their premises.

The joint office said the cases have been referred to Police for investigation.

People are reminded to contact the office if they have any doubts about the authenticity of the office’s letters or the identity of outsourced staff.
