Disciplinary forces condemn violence

The disciplinary forces of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have been endeavouring to uphold the rule of law and maintain the city's prosperity, stability and safety, and condemned the recent outbreaks of violence.

 

The heads of the HKSAR’s disciplinary forces issued the joint statement in response to media reports about the comments made by alleged disciplinary force members on an online discussion forum.

 

The forces’ heads condemned the recent outbreaks of violence that have harmed social order on an immense scale and put public safety at risk, adding the forces will stay united to keep their commitment and do their utmost to uphold Hong Kong's rule of law and give unwavering support to the Chief Executive and the HKSAR Government in effectively administering Hong Kong in accordance with the law.

 

The heads of the disciplinary forces include Director of Immigration Tsang Kwok-wai, Commissioner of Customs & Excise Hermes Tang, Director of Fire Services Li Kin-yat, Commissioner of Correctional Services Woo Ying-ming and Controller of Government Flying Service Michael Chan.
