Antiquities board chief named
The Chief Executive has appointed Douglas So as Chairman of the Antiquities Advisory Board.
Eleven incumbent members have been reappointed, while nine have also been appointed as members.
They will serve for two years from January 1.
The new members are Vanessa Cheung, Chu Hoi-shan, Ho Kui-yip, Tony Ip, Jane Lee, Phyllis Li, Shum Ho-kit, Theresa Yeung and Alice Yip.
Secretary for Development Michael Wong welcomed the appointments, saying the new composition of the board will bring in innovative ideas to its work and he looks forward to working with them.
Mr Wong also thanked outgoing Chairman Andrew Lam and the 10 outgoing members for their services.
The Antiquities Advisory Board is established under the Antiquities & Monuments Ordinance to advise on matters relating to antiquities and monuments.
The new term of the board comprises 21 members, including the Chairman.
