Financial Secretary Paul Chan will depart for Beijing this evening to visit the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Ministry of Commerce and other central ministries.

During the visit, Mr Chan will also tour artificial intelligence enterprises.

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Algernon Yau and Securities & Futures Commission Chief Executive Officer Julia Leung will join parts of the itinerary.

Mr Chan is scheduled to return to Hong Kong on Saturday morning. During the absence of Mr Chan and Mr Yau, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will act as Financial Secretary, while Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Bernard Chan will act as Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development.
