Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Rosanna Law congratulated Hong Kong, China athletes after they bagged one silver and one bronze medal today, in fencing and artistic gymnastics, at the 20th Asian Games.

Fencers Cheung Ka-long, Ryan Choi, Leung Chin-yu and Harris Ho captured a silver medal in the Men’s Foil Team event, while gymnast Ng Ka-Ki claimed bronze in the Men’s Vault.

Miss Law said the four fencers had won the applause of Hong Kong citizens by giving their all and fighting to the very end to secure a podium finish for the Hong Kong, China delegation for a sixth consecutive time.

She also lauded Mr Ng, a second-time competitor at the Asian Games, for overcoming a recurring injury to display peak form on the vault and claim a medal.
