More than 2,900 job vacancies, spanning various industries, will be on offer at the New Horizons Job Fair, due to be hosted by the Labour Department at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok on Thursday and Friday.

More than 60 recruiting organisations will be present at the fair, with around 30 conducting on-site recruitment each day. Almost 2,300 of the vacancies will be in catering, retail or transport.

Positions offered include engineer, registered nurse, Chinese medicine clinic assistant, administrative clerk, accounts clerk, customer service assistant, programme executive, project co-ordinator, analyst programmer, computer drafting clerk, traffic officer, promoter, maintenance technician, packaging worker, server, cook, shop assistant, stock keeper, beauty consultant, and lifeguard.

Around 71% of the openings on offer are full-time jobs. Most offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $25,000. About 97% require an education level of Secondary Seven or below, while around 55% are open to job seekers without relevant work experience.

The event will take place from 11am to 5.30pm at 1/F, MacPherson Stadium, 38 Nelson Street, Mong Kok. Admission is free, with final admission set at 5pm each day.
