The Government today invited public tenders for a site at 100 Po Hong Road, Tseung Kwan O, intended to be developed into an electric vehicle (EV) fast charging station (FCS).

Designated as Tseung Kwan O Lot No. 137, with an area of 2,640 square metres, the tender period for the sale of the site will close on April 17.

The Environment & Ecology Bureau noted that the area for retail use in the site is larger than that of a conventional petrol filling station (PFS), allowing operators more flexibility to meet the needs of EV drivers.

Through open tenders, the Government has sold four PFS sites in Kowloon Bay, Fo Tan, Tai Po and Tsing Yi for FCS purposes to meet the rapidly growing demand for EV charging facilities.
