The Lands Department today posted a second batch of notices for the resumption of 68 private lots, comprising a total area of about 4.1 hectares, for the Second Phase Development of Yuen Long South New Development Area.

The 68 private lots to be resumed are the sites with no application under the Enhanced Conventional New Town Approach received by the deadline in mid-May. The land concerned requires resumption for the Government to carry out works.

The private lots will revert to the Government on November 29 and it will release ex-gratia land compensation to the relevant land owners after land reversion. 

It is estimated that the affected households and business undertakings will have to move out in March 2026.

The department is handling the compensation and rehousing matters of those affected at full steam.
