The Hospital Authority (HA) has appointed a Governance & Structure Reform Committee to provide strategic guidance, oversight, and advice on implementing reforms.

The committee's work will be based on the recommendations of the Review Committee on the Management of the Public Hospital System.

HA Chairman Henry Fan said the members of the committee have extensive experience in the operations and corporate governance of healthcare organisations. 

The committee will start work immediately and will regularly report its progress to the Health Bureau and the HA Board.

Mr Fan added that the Reform Committee will provide valuable opinions on the HA’s future development, helping it to enact reforms that will enhance patient safety and allow it to provide public healthcare services that meet the public’s expectations.
