Alice Mak visits Chengdu community

During her trip to Chengdu today, Secretary for Home & Youth Affairs Alice Mak visited the Jinshui Street community of the Jiancheng subdistrict in Jianyang and met local officials.
Miss Mak received a briefing on the practical experience of district governance and learnt about the services provided and activities organised by the Yijiang Jinshui Community Living Space.
The home affairs chief noted that Hong Kong’s district governance work is in line with the approach adopted by the community living space, adding that the city will continue to address issues related to people’s concerns and resolve problems they have encountered within the district, thereby enhancing their sense of happiness and contentment.
She also met representatives from the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government and the People’s Government of Jianyang City to discuss issues of mutual concern.
Miss Mak returned to Hong Kong this afternoon.
