Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin is embarking on a trip to the US, where she will promote the advantages of Hong Kong as an international post-secondary education hub. She will land in the country today, local time, and will visit Chicago, New Orleans, and New York. 
 

During the trip, Ms Choi will attend the NAFSA: Association of International Educators 2024 Annual Conference & Expo in New Orleans.
 

She will also visit local schools and exchange views with educationalists to learn about developments in US education. In addition, she will meet Hong Kong youths studying or working in the country.
 

Ms Choi will conclude her visit and return to Hong Kong on June 2. During her absence, Under Secretary for Education Sze Chun-fai will be Acting Secretary.
