The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today clarified that it has not received any visa application by a former Korean artiste for any talent admission schemes.

The Hong Kong SAR Government made the statement in response to media reports about the artiste who planned to move to Hong Kong, which mentioned the talent admission schemes.

It stressed that government departments will, in accordance with the established mechanism, play a robust gatekeeping role when processing talent admission scheme applications to ensure only those from eligible people will be approved.

Currently, Republic of Korea nationals can enjoy a visa free period in Hong Kong for a visit not exceeding 90 days.
