BL test sitting scheduled for June

April 24, 2024

The fourth sitting of the Basic Law & National Security Law Test (BLNST) during the 2023-24 school year is scheduled for June 16 and applications can be made from April 26 until May 9, the Education Bureau (EDB) announced today.

Target participants for this sitting are those without a bachelor’s degree who plan to join or change to another secondary school, primary school or kindergarten to take up a teaching post.

Limited places for the test will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Candidates who take the test, set at a non-degree level, can only use their pass results to apply for non-graduate teaching posts.

Those who have obtained a pass result in a test organised by the EDB or the Civil Service Bureau will not be accepted to sit for it again.

The fifth sitting of the BLNST, scheduled for July 20, will be open to degree holders. Relevant arrangements will be announced in due course.
