A delegation of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government District Officers (DOs) completed its district governance study programme at the National Academy of Governance (NAG) in Beijing this morning.

Delegation members heard a lecture by State Council Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office (HKMAO) Deputy Director Wang Linggui on the implementation of modernisation with Chinese characteristics in Zhejiang.

At the closing ceremony, Mr Wang said the central government attaches great importance to the study programme and he hoped the delegation would continue to share experiences with each other and work better in carrying out district work.

Presenting certificates of completion to the delegation, NAG Vice President Gong Weibin encouraged the members to apply what they have learnt to their work.

Delegation leader, Secretary for Home & Youth Affairs Alice Mak, thanked the HKMAO and the NAG for the programme’s meticulous arrangements, adding that she trusted the members would be able to convert their learning into practical results, and assist the Hong Kong SAR Government to achieve good district governance.

The delegation departed for Zhejiang Province for a duty visit in the afternoon.
