Chief Executive John Lee today expressed deep sadness over the multiple deaths and injuries caused by a No. 3 alarm fire at New Lucky House in Jordan, which happened early this morning. He also extended his deepest condolences to the injured and the families of the deceased.
 

Mr Lee said he attached great importance to the incident. He added that he has instructed the Hospital Authority to make every effort to save and care for the injured, and the relevant departments – including Police and the Fire Services Department – to investigate the cause of the fire.
 

The Home Affairs Department, Social Welfare Department and other departments have been instructed to deal with the aftermath properly and provide all necessary assistance to the families of the deceased and residents affected by the fire.
