Flower show blooms to be given out

March 23, 2024

Following the Hong Kong Flower Show’s conclusion tomorrow, some of the flowers on display will be distributed to the public on Monday morning, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced.

Flowers that are in good condition and suitable for replanting will be given out to citizens at 10am on Monday at Victoria Park's South Pavilion Plaza, near the Sugar Street entrance. It is estimated that about 3,000 pots will be distributed, subject to the condition of the plants.

Each person can get one pot on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. They are also encouraged to bring their own bags.

The department urged people to visit the flower show before it closes at 9pm tomorrow.

A prize presentation ceremony for the show's student drawing competition was held today, with the winning entries placed on display at the showground.

Members of the public may also participate in an online voting campaign to choose their favourite from the garden plots of the 18 districts at the show, for a chance to win free air tickets.
