Xia Baolong visits cultural district

CPC Central Committee Hong Kong & Macao Work Office Director and State Council Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office Director Xia Baolong viewed cultural and youth development in Hong Kong on the sixth day of his inspection visit.

 

Mr Xia, accompanied by Chief Executive John Lee, Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung and West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Board Chairman Henry Tang, visited the Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District this morning to view cultural and arts development and promotion as well as the work on promulgating Chinese culture in Hong Kong.

 

In the company of Mr Lee and Secretary for Home & Youth Affairs Alice Mak, Mr Xia then had an engagement session at the museum with some 40 Hong Kong young people.

 

They included youth group representatives, participants of the Government’s youth internship and exchange schemes on the Mainland, participants of the Strive & Rise Programme, youth ambassadors of the Youth Development Commission, and Youth Link representatives.

 

In the afternoon, Mr Xia, accompanied by the Chief Executive, discussed Hong Kong’s economic development strategies with a group of economists.
