Xia Baolong visits districts

CPC Central Committee Hong Kong & Macao Work Office Director and State Council Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office Director Xia Baolong visited several districts today to inspect the city’s district governance.
 
In the morning, accompanied by Chief Executive John Lee and Secretary for Home & Youth Affairs Alice Mak, Mr Xia had morning tea with district personalities at a restaurant in Tseung Kwan O where he exchanged views with them on local livelihood issues.
 
He then visited the Sai Kung District Office and had an engagement session with District Officer (Sai Kung) and Chairman of the Sai Kung District Council Kathy Ma as well as district councillors to listen to their views on the planning and implementation of Sai Kung district services.
 
At noon, Mr Xia had a working lunch with the chairmen of the 18 district councils to interact with them on district governance issues.
 
Later in the afternoon, in the company of Mr Lee and Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung, Mr Xia visited Lion Rock Park in Wong Tai Sin to take in an up-close view of the Lion Rock, which symbolises the Hong Kong spirit of resilience and solidarity.
