The Social Welfare Department today alerted the public to fraudulent job advertisements posted on a social media platform.

The job advertisements, carrying the departmental logo, claim to recruit part-time and full-time staff to assist in website management.

The department clarified that it did not publish such job advertisements.

The case has been reported to Police and the social media platform has also been informed to follow up on the matter.

Anyone who has provided personal information to suspicious websites or unknown individuals via the advertisements should contact Police, the department added.
