A job fair will be held at Dragon Centre in Sham Shui Po on November 8 and 9, with more than 2,600 vacancies on offer to job seekers, the Labour Department announced today.

Some 40 organisations will participate in the fair, with half of them setting up booths on-site and conducting on-the-spot recruitment.

The roles being hired for include engineer, accountant, pastry cook, tailor, bartender, programmer, clerk, kitchen helper, security officer, e-commerce assistant, and warehouse assistant.

Around 89% of the vacancies at the fair are full-time jobs with monthly salaries ranging from $13,000 to $21,000.

Among the vacancies, about 94% require a Secondary 5 education level or below, depending on the job, and around 69% are open to people without relevant work experience.

The fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm and admission is free. Job seekers can submit applications on-site and may be selected for on-the-spot interviews.
