The Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced that hire charges for holding wedding ceremonies in six selected leisure venues under the department will be adjusted starting February 1, 2024.

After the adjustment, the new hire charges for outdoor leisure venues will be $3,490 for the first four hours and $290 for each subsequent hour.

The outdoor leisure venues include the beach on the west side, the seaside pavilion and the small garden at Repulse Bay Beach; the Bauhinia Garden in Kowloon Tsai Park; the Six Arts Terrace and Bamboo Pavilion in Kowloon Walled City Park; the amphitheatre and the lawn in Tai Po Waterfront Park; and the platform in Sai Kung Waterfront Park.

The hire charges for the indoor leisure venue, which is the assembly hall in Lei Yue Mun Park, will be $3,670 for the first four hours and $380 for each subsequent hour.

Apart from pointing out that the level of hire charges has remained unchanged since the adjustment in 2016, the department explained that following a comprehensive review, it decided to adjust the charges to reflect the current costs in the provision of the services.
