Muse Fest set for Nov
The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will launch Muse Fest HK 2023 in November to enable the public to delve into the world of arts and culture.
The department will roll out about 80 fascinating programmes in its museums and cultural spaces, with a fiesta to open the annual event.
A Fiesta of Imagination, to be held at the Science Museum on November 4 and 5, will introduce nano science and showcase the applications of nanotechnology in daily life through interactive exhibits and a classic mini exhibition van.
The museum has also invited a local sci-fi author to share his works with the participants of interactive activities to explore science together, while the Music Office will present Sci-Fi. Time Travel concerts.
Museums including the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Railway Museum, Oil Street Art Space, Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery and Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre will host fun days during the month.
The Space Museum, Heritage Museum and Conservation Office will launch special programmes, while the Heritage Museum, Museum of Art and Film Archive will stage new exhibitions under different themes.
To echo the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign, the Museum of Art, Science Museum and Space Museum will extend their opening hours to 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until the end of November and offer special programmes on Saturday evenings.
The Museum of Art will present Movie Date to screen classic local romantic movies. The Science Museum will set up game booths for participants to make interesting crafts or try science experiments at its fun night, while the Space Museum will be turned into a starry wonderland where the participants can enjoy the night sky with astronomical telescopes at its rooftop.
