Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin will depart for Xi’an tomorrow. On Sunday, she will lead a university delegation in attending the University Alliance of the Silk Road Presidents’ Forum, and a conference aimed at promoting co-operation between higher education institutions in Hong Kong and Central Asia.

During her stay in Xi’an, she will call on representatives of the Shaanxi Provincial Government. She will also visit Xi’an Jiaotong University, and join a seminar on the admission of Mainland students to Hong Kong’s higher education institutions. Additionally, she will meet Hong Kong students in Xi'an.

Ms Choi will return to Hong Kong next Wednesday. During her absence, Under Secretary for Education Sze Chun-fai will be Acting Secretary.
