Chief Executive John Lee today met Minister of Culture & Tourism Hu Heping to exchange views on further strengthening co-operation and development between the Mainland and Hong Kong in arts and culture as well as tourism.

 

Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung and Director of the Chief Executive's Office Carol Yip also joined the meeting at Government House.

 

Welcoming Mr Hu’s visit to Hong Kong with his delegation, Mr Lee thanked him for his guidance and support in the development of arts and culture in Hong Kong.

 

The Chief Executive also noted that Hong Kong’s tourism industry has been recovering steadily and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture & Tourism for its support and provision of facilitation measures in enhancing the exchange of tourists.

 

Mr Lee also hoped the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government would continue to co-operate with the ministry to support and promote arts groups in the Mainland and Hong Kong to have more performances and interactions as well as enhancing the tourism industry’s development.
