Proposals invited for non-profit venue

August 21, 2023

The Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau is inviting proposals from non-profit-making organisations to run operations in the premises currently occupied by the Fringe Club in Central. The new lease will be for three years, starting from April 1 next year.

The bureau aims to select the most suitable operator for the premises, which are situated on portions of the basement and the whole of the ground floor, first floor and  roof of No. 2 Lower Albert Road, South Block, Central, when the current lease ends.

The bureau said any non-profit-making operators, including the current one, can submit proposals. The selected applicant will operate, manage, maintain and develop the premises as a unique arts and culture venue, supporting the ongoing development of arts and culture, and in particular programmes by small and medium-sized arts groups, including youth groups.

All proposals must reach the Culture Division (1), Culture Branch of the bureau by mail or by hand before 5.30pm on October 20.

Call 3509 8075 or 3509 8077 for enquiries.
