Environment chief visits GBA cities

Secretary for Environment & Ecology Tse Chin-wan today continued his Greater Bay Area trip by visiting Foshan and Shenzhen.
At the Nanhai Hydrogen Center in Foshan, Mr Tse was briefed on the city's planning and achievements of hydrogen energy development, and visited Gaoming to experience the world's first commercially operated hydrogen-fuelled light rail vehicle.
He said the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has set up a working group to co-ordinate the preparation works of bureaus and departments for using hydrogen as fuel in Hong Kong in accordance with the principles laid down by the country to align with the national policy.
In Shenzhen, the environment chief toured the exhibition hall of the Huawei Digital Power AntoHill Headquarters and received a briefing on the company's latest developments in green buildings, photovoltaic power generation and energy storage as well as zero-carbon community.
