The Housing Authority announced today that applications for purchasing flats under the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats and White Form Secondary Market Scheme (WSM) 2023 will be accepted from July 31 to August 14.

A total of 9,154 HOS flats will be put up for sale in six new developments, including Kai Yuet Court in Kai Tak, On Ying Court, On Lai Court and On Wah Court in Kwun Tong, Siu Tsui Court in Tuen Mun and Long Tin Court in Yuen Long.

Around 50 rescinded flats from Kam Chun Court in Ma On Shan and Kai Cheung Court in Diamond Hill, Yu Nga Court in Tung Chung and Yu Tak Court in Sha Tin as well as additional rescinded flats from these four developments identified up to about two months before commencement of flat selections will also be available for resale in this sale exercise.

The average selling prices of the new flats and those for resale are provisionally set at a 38% discount from the assessed market value. Balloting exercises are expected to be held in the fourth quarter of this year, while flat selections for the HOS and the issuance of approval letters to successful applicants under the WSM are expected to start from the first quarter of 2024.

Starting from the application commencement date of the HOS this year, public rental housing tenants and rental estate tenants of the Housing Society who apply to purchase subsidised sale flats as Green From applicants should not have owned domestic properties in Hong Kong during the 24 months preceding the closing date for submitting the application up to the time of purchase.

Sales booklets, application forms and guides can be viewed and downloaded from the authority's website from July 24.

Printed copies can be obtained from the authority’s Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, the Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme Sales Unit’s office, estate offices and district tenancy management offices as well as the Housing Society's rental estate offices and the Home Affairs Department’s Home Affairs Enquiry Centres, also from July 24.
