The Labour Department will hold a large-scale job fair at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok this Thursday and Friday, with more than 4,500 vacancies, spanning various industries, on offer to job seekers.

Around 60 organisations will participate in the fair, with around 30 setting up booths and conducting on-the-spot recruitment each day. More than 3,000 vacancies will be in the catering, retail and hotel industries.

Over 79% of the roles on offer are full-time jobs. Most offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $22,000.

The vacancies cover positions ranging from engineer to customer services officer, operations host, reservation clerk, assistant concierge, technician trainee, assistant manager, restaurant supervisor, pastry commis, management information system officer, senior building supervisor and interior designer.

Around 96% of the vacancies require Secondary Seven education level or below, depending on the job, and about 66% are open to people without relevant work experience.

The job fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm at MacPherson Stadium, and admission is free.
