Secretary for Culture, Sports & Tourism Kevin Yeung met officials in Foshan and Guangzhou over the past two days to enhance cultural and tourism efforts as well as explore development opportunities.

In Guangzhou today, the culture chief met Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television & Tourism Bureau Director Liu Yumei.

He also toured the Guangzhou Opera House, the Zhujiang Piano Chuangmengyuan, the Xinghai Concert Hall and the Guangzhou Cultural & Arts Centre to grasp the city’s work in bolstering cultural and creative industries’ development.

Yesterday, Mr Yeung met Foshan Vice Mayor Huang Shaowen as well as Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports Bureau Director Xu Mixun.

He also visited the Xiqiao National Arts Film Studio, a project integrating film, television and tourism, and the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Museum.

Mr Yeung said the Government will continue to strengthen connections with other Greater Bay Area cities, contributing to creating wonderful Chinese culture travelling experiences and telling the good stories of China.
