Officials visit Hangzhou, Wuzhen

A delegation of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government permanent secretaries and heads of departments called on CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee Secretary Yi Lianhong today.
Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung, who is leading the delegation on a study tour, thanked Mr Yi for the meeting.
Noting that Zhejiang and Hong Kong had signed a number of co-operation agreements earlier, Mrs Yeung said both sides will continue to promote exchanges between civil servants of the two places and share management experience and knowledge in public services.
The delegation also visited Hangzhou and Wuzhen to learn about different scopes of work covering sports, commerce and economy, tourism and ecological conservation.
The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou will open on September 23 and the delegation took the opportunity to visit one of the venues, the Tennis Center Finals Hall in the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center.
They also visited the Hangzhou International Expo Center which provides facilities for conventions, exhibitions, catering, tourism, hotel and office space, and will be one of the venues for the Asian Games.
The delegation then called on Zhejiang Geely Holding Group headquartered in Hangzhou to find out about the development of electric and new energy vehicles, and toured the West Lake Comprehensive Protection Project to view the local government’s efforts to balance conservation and development.
In Wuzhen, the delegation went to the West Scenic Zone as well as the permanent site for the World Internet Conference.
