Transitional housing form enhanced

The central common application form for transitional housing projects is distributed and collected through the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre’s dedicated counter and other channels.
The Housing Bureau launched a central common application form today to help the public via a one-stop application process for different transitional housing projects.
Through the new form, applicants can apply for up to three transitional housing projects at the same time with different priorities based on their needs.
Once the forms and supporting documents are received, the bureau will centrally and preliminarily process the applications before referring them to the respective operating organisations for follow-up based on the applicants’ priority.
As the format, distribution and collection method of the form are now unified, applicants no longer need to submit separate applications to different transitional housing projects.
Apart from making it more convenient for the applicants, the new measure also reduces the administrative work and processing time for the organisations’ operations.
This will speed up the matching process and improve the living environment of the applicants as soon as possible, the bureau added.
The form is distributed and collected through the thematic website, operating organisations, the transitional housing information counter located in the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre as well as the Housing Department Cash Allowance Office.
Additionally, the bureau is preparing to set up a unified platform to facilitate online applications for transitional housing and the tentative plan is to launch it in the third quarter of this year.
