eHealth publicity campaign set
A fresh round of publicity for the Electronic Health Record Sharing System (eHealth) was rolled out today to call on the public to make the best use of the eHealth mobile app for managing health conditions, the Health Bureau announced.
TV and radio announcements in the public interest were premiered tonight, while the mobile truck Mobile Health Station will tour the city from this Saturday till the end of the month to help citizens register for eHealth and download the mobile application.
Mobile Health Station will visit some 30 locations across the city, and on-site staff will help participants download the mobile app and introduce to them its features. In addition, body mass index and blood pressure measurement services will be offered, so that staff can guide users to input the data in the eHealth app.
Such services are free of charge and no appointment is needed. People who join the event can receive souvenirs on a first come, first served basis.
eHealth is a privacy protected, personal life-long electronic health record which can ensure that patients and healthcare service providers may view and share digital medical data of health records on a secured electronic platform without any worries.
Apart from public hospitals and clinics, all 13 local private hospitals and about 2,800 other private healthcare organisations are also registered healthcare service providers of eHealth. As at end-May, over three billion medical records of more than 5.7 million citizens have been shared on eHealth. More than 2.9 million downloads were recorded since the app’s launch.
Looking ahead, the bureau said it plans to establish further collaboration with private healthcare institutions in uploading healthcare data to transform eHealth into a comprehensive infrastructure supporting the overall healthcare system, thereby ensuring delivery of continuous healthcare for individuals.
