Secretary for Health Prof Lo Chung-mau will lead a delegation to Shanghai today for a three-day visit that includes participating in the China Organ Donation Day event, organised by the China Organ Transplantation Development Foundation, slated for June 9.

Prof Lo and the delegates also plan to visit the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission to strengthen healthcare co-operation between Hong Kong and Shanghai.

As part of the group's agenda, they will tour Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University and Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and visit a community health service centre to meet Hong Kong people living in Shanghai.

Prof Lo will return to Hong Kong on June 11. During his absence, Under Secretary for Health Libby Lee will be Acting Secretary.
