The Government today invited members of the public to join the weekend bazaars in Sai Kung and Tsuen Wan districts to be rolled out this week, where a temple festival and a mix of food and fun are planned.

These two events are the first of the five weekend bazaars co-organised by the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department and local groups.

The Chief Executive announced the weekend bazaars project in his 2022 Policy Address to develop more leisure facilities and projects as well as add variety to citizens’ activities, thereby fostering diversified local economic activities.

Drawing on the experience of the Home Affairs Department last year, the upcoming bazaars will feature performances and food, shopping and game booths.

The Sai Kung bazaar will open from May 25 to 29 at Sai Kung Tin Hau Temple, while the Tsuen Wan one will run from May 26 to 28 at the Sha Tsui Road Playground.

Admission is free.
