Secretary for Labour & Welfare Chris Sun will depart for Beijing tomorrow afternoon for a visit until May 10.

Mr Sun will be joined by representatives of the Social Welfare and Labour departments.

 
During his trip to the capital, Mr Sun will call on the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, the Ministry of Commerce as well as the State Council Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office.

He will also meet the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Disabled Persons’ Federation.

Additionally, Mr Sun and the delegation will visit elderly and child care facilities, meet university students and keep abreast of how Beijing's local recruitment platform works.

Mr Sun will return to Hong Kong on the evening of May 10. During his absence, Under Secretary for Labour & Welfare Ho Kai-ming will be Acting Secretary.
